Surrogates

On Friday, me and Chloe went to watch Surrogates at TGV Pyramid.
Prior to the movie I've been getting comments from my friends about this movie. Some says its so-so while some say its nice.
You really have to watch it yourself to find out really.

Surrogates

Starring

Bruce Willis as Tom Greer
Radna Mitchell as Peters
Rosamund Pike as Maggie
Boris Kodjoe as Stone
James Kromwell as Canter

Synopsis

The movie began with a murder of a surrogate, who is thought to be the father of the surrogates, Canter, but it turns out that the person murdered was Canter's son. From then on, Agent Greer and Agent Peter's task was to investigate who the real murderer is and what weapon did the murderer used which can kill the surrogate and the operator as well. Several twist-and-turns led to Agent Greer losing his surrogate and have to investigate in his real body while Agent Peters has been hacked and her operator dead. Agent Greer found the murderer and later was to make a decision to kill all surrogates or to continue allowing them to walk the earth.

Thoughts

This movie is similar to iRobot and Minority report where its about humans rebel against robots. In Surrogates, its pretty much the same but its interesting as well. Its a movie where the real humans stays at home and control their surrogates as they take them out to the real world and the surrogates can look like whoever their operators want them to be. The storyline is not a very straight forward one. It gives the viewers a few things to think about as its a investigative movie. I give this movie a thumbs up and its worth watching. Its not a really good movie but its a good movie.

Ghost ? Where got ghost ?!

Headed to Pyramid after lunch with Chloe, Kelvin and Vince to watch movie. Initially, we wanted to watch Gamer but because of the stupid / lazy cinema staffs we were late.

Movie was at 2.2o and we started to line up at 2.10 but because there were just TWO counters open, by the time it reached our turn it was already 2.40 so we just decided to watch Where got ghost.

This movie is a Singaporean movie directed by Jack Neo, who also directed Money no enough 1 & 2 and the third story in the movie is a short sequel to Money no enough.

This movie is alright. Quite hilarious if you are able to understand and follow what they are saying (Mandarin and occasionally in Hokkien) It's a bit creepy at times but its usually because of the sound effects.

First 2 story were about ghost haunting people, but in a funny way and the third part is where the mother came back to 'haunt' them, actually to protect them and keep them safe. Just that they don't appreciate it.

Well overall the movie is okay. A movie to watch if you want to have some laughs but not recommended to watch in the cinema. Better to download or buy a DVD. RM9 student price for this movie is not worth it at all.

Twilight.

After our Marketing exam, we headed to Sunway Pyramid to watch movie. Went there and buy tickets first and then ate Subway sandwiches for dinner. After that went for movie.

Twilight

Starring:

Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen
Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan
Billy Burke as Charlie Swan
Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen
Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullun
Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen
Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale
Jackson Rathbone as Jasper Hale

Synopsis:

Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has always been a bit different, never caring about or fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix, Arizona high school. When her mother Renee (Sarah Clarke) remarries and decides to move with her new husband to Florida, and Bella decides to go live with her father, Charlie (Billy Burke), in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), a boy unlike any she's ever met. Intelligent and witty, his piercing eyes see straight into her soul.

Soon, Bella and Edward are swept up in a passionate and decidedly unorthodox romance. Edward can run faster than any cheetah, he can stop a moving car with his bare hands, and he hasn't aged since 1918. Most importantly, he's a vampire. Like all vampires, he's immortal. He doesn't drink human blood (they're vampire "vegetarians"), which is rare among the vampire population. Instead, they go on regular "hiking" trips, where they feed on prey such as grizzly bears and mountain lions.

For Edward, Bella is the thing he has waited ninety years for - a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. And what will they do when James (Cam Gigandet), Laurent (Edi Gathegi), and Victoria (Rachel Lefevre) come into town and James sets his sights on Bella? Will true love prevail when Edward is forced to save her life and conquer his thirst? The true question is, When you can live forever, what do you live for?

Outing

Been out the entire day. A bit tired but don't really feel like sleeping so early. And it's so bored at home so decided to blog. What else can I do anyway?

Chloe came over to Sunway around 11 something and we went to Old Town Kopitiam for brunch. After that we headed down to Mid Valley to "kai kai". Traffic was heavy around MV and almost all the parking were full. So I had to park at The Gardens instead. I seriously dont know why there are so many cars. MV not many people also. Crazy people.

Once we reached MV, we headed straight to GSC to buy movie tickets. I wanted to watch Quaratine but GSC is not showing it until 27th of November. WHAT? TGV is already showing it. So we had no choice but to watch Guard Post GP506. Movie was at 4p.m so we walk walk around first. Don't think I want to go MV again. Nothing much to do there anymore. Nothing to see as well. Pyramid is still better. Hehe.

Guard Post GP 506

Synopsis:

Guard Post 506 is a military bunker where soldiers stay alert for any possible aggression from North Korea. It is also the place where a massacre happened leaving 20 soldiers dead and 1 in coma. A sergeant major named Noh Seong-gyu was sent to the Guard Post to investigate the bloodbath. It was a messy situation and there were no signs of external attacks.

However, as the story progresses. He finds out that the massacre was not the cause of any attacks, but a virus. This virus turns the soldiers to blood-thirsty creatures who starts killing each other. It was a horrifying truth but that wasn't it. The worse thing is that the entire investigating unit including Noh himself is infected with the virus. Well, there was only 1 vaccine to this virus. What the movie to find out.

Comment:

It is actually a good movie. But you have to follow the story carefully to fully understand what really happen because it has a few twist and turns and a few flashbacks so you really have to pay attention. That's not the only advice. This movie is strictly and i really mean STRICTLY not for people with weak stomach because it is really brutal and gory. I don't really recommend watching this movie actually but if you feel like watching then go ahead. Just dont vomit on yourself thats all.

Like I said in the beginning, the movie is hillarious. I really recommend watching this movie. Anyone, will just laugh throughout the entire movie as its just so funny. 007: Quantum of Solace

007: Quantum of Solace

Starring:

Daniel Craig as James Bond
Olga Kurylenko as Camille
Mathieu Amalric as Dominic Greene
Judi Dench as M

Synopsis:

'Quantum of Solace' continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from 'Casino Royale'. Picking up literally days where the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Having captured Mr. White, and in pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and 'M' interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper to steal Bond's casino winnings is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille, a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene, a ruthless businessman and major force within the mysterious criminal organization known only as 'Quantum'.

On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano. Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in Bolivia, giving General Medrano control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land which is, however, a main source of the South American water supply. In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists, and even 'M' herself, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop Quantum from getting its way.

Eagle Eye

Went up to Klang today to find Chloe. Before that, stopped by Sunway for a while to give Chun Yong the rental.

After that, went to Klang to fetch Chloe. Went to Jusco Bukit Tinggi to buy the movie tickets and the went for lunch. Movie was at 1.45pm so walk walk around the complex first. That place really boring. Nothing to see at all. At least its better than Seremban's Jusco.

Threatening their lives and family, she pushes Jerry and Rachel into a series of increasingly dangerous situations--using the technology of everyday life to track and control their every move. As the situation escalates, these two ordinary people become the country's most wanted fugitives, who must work together to discover what is really happening--and more importantly, why.

Shia LaBeouf as Jerry Shaw: a young slacker who is framed as a terrorist and vows to clear his name with the FBI's help. LaBeouf also plays Ethan Shaw, Jerry's twin brother who is a skilled, intelligent man in the Air Force with a secret occupation.

Catacombs

Friends wanted to watch a movie on Thursday. So me and Chloe went to TGV to see what movies are there to watch. We wanted to watch Painted Skin but unfortunately it's only released on Friday. So we chose to watch Catacombs instead.

This movie is about this girl, Victoria, who got invited to go to Paris by her sister, Carolyn (Alicia Moore aka Pink) saying "it'll do you good". So, she headed off to join her sister in Paris. In Paris, her sister took her to a secret rave party which is held down in the catacombs. Victoria eventually got lost down there and was later found by her sister. However, her sister was killed a person wearing a goat mask and this person started going after Victoria. Towards the end, she managed to kill that person but later found out her sister and her friends played a prank on her. Unfortunately, the person she killed was Jean Michele, her sister's friend. In the end, Victoria ended up killing her sister and all of her friends.

It wasn't a really nice movie. Thought it would be some ghost movie but turned out to be a thriller instead. I'm fine with thrillers but this show hasn't got a single bit of goriness. And some parts turned out to be quite amusing. Another thing that I found out was that this show was released last year. No wonder cinemas in Malaysia is showing this film now. So people, next time if you want to watch a movie, please find out when it was released. Because if Malaysian cinemas only show a film that was released quite some time ago means that show isn't worth watching.

Death Race: Get Ready For a Killer Ride

Haven't even rest enough and Hillary called. She said want to watch movie around 4 something. So, me and Chloe headed to One Utama to meet Kelvin, Hillary, Casson and his gf. The movie we are going to watch is Death Race. Initially we planned to watch Halloween but don't know who suggested Death Race so okay lah.

Cast
Jason Statham as Jensen Ames
Joan Allen as Hennessey
Ian McShane as Coach
Tyrese Gibson as Machine Gun Joe
Natalie Martinez as Case

Synopsis
In 2012, the United States economy collapses and life for everyone is not the same. Once a NASCAR champion, Jensen Ames, (Jason Statham), hits rock bottom and spent several years in prison.

His life was improving and changing for the better after meeting and marrying Suzy (Janaya Stephens) and having a baby girl. Then the steel mill closes, and he loses his job. But that was not the worst thing to happen to Jenson that day. Suzy is brutally murdered, and he is framed for her murder. Jenson is sent to Terminal Island, the worst and toughest for-profit prison in the country run by Warden Hennessey (Joan Allen).

She has created the country's most popular pay-per-view sport, a kill-or-be-killed car race where the inmates race to win their freedom from prison after 5 wins. Every inmate driver is driving a monster car that they built which is loaded with machine guns, missiles, flamethrowers, napalm, and no rules. Warden Hennessey convinces Jensen to secretly take the place of the late 4-time superstar winner, Frankenstein, and wear his metallic mask in the race. If Jensen wins just one race, he can go home to his baby daughter. To get to the finish line, Jensen must kill his competition before they kill him.

Rating - ****

Not a bad show. Its quite nice and the race is kind of exciting. Obviosly everything is kind of fake lah but thats what movies are for. Someone told me it wasn't a nice show but to me its quite nice. Don't think downloading it would be nicer than watching it in the cinema. Some parts are quite disgusting but its quite funny lah. The way those drivers die very funny. Anyway, go watch it.

Another outing.

Slept around 7am and woke up again at 11am by a phone call from Chloe saying that she finished class already. Went a wash up and went out around 11.30am.

Went to college to meet her and then saw Grace. She wanted to buy some books so teman her to the bookshop and all she bought was test pads -___-" Since we had nothing to do in college we decided to go to the exam hall to see Hillary. Waited for her outside until around 12.1opm then met up with the rest. Went to Asia Cafe with them for lunch.

During lunch, a tree branch fell down and nearly hit Hillary and Grace. Both of them (including Chloe) yelped and I jumped (kena frighten by Grace.. AGAIN) Hillary and Grace already planned a few days ago to go sing k today but eventually we ended up deciding to watch movie so we headed to Sunway Pyramid to watch Money No Enough 2. Its a Singaporean movie (similar to Ah Long Pte Ltd but the storyline is different) The first episode was 10 years ago and this is the second. The movie was quite funny but it is touching as well. Okay okay. I wanted to cry during the show. Damn terharu lah. I can't help it. But I didn't cry of course.

After the show, we wanted to go for dinner and Kelvin suggested we go to Banana Leaf in Puchong. Me and Chloe headed back to College because Chloe wanted to park her car there and then I fetch her. As we exited from College, Hillary said there is a change of plan as both of them don't know the way to Banana Leaf -__________________-" zha dou. So.. We went back to Pyramid again. Yes AGAIN. Went to T.G.I.F for dinner. Ate until damn full. Spent around 100+ for both mine and Chloe's meal. Kelvin only paid me RM50 but his meal was more than RM50. Nvm lah. Don't want kira with him.

It was already around 9pm when I fetch Chloe and Hillary back to college then I headed back to my apartment to get my stuffs and went back to Seremban. Reached Seremban at 11pm. Damn tired. Going to bed already. Have to recharge my battery. Red already.

Nights people.

Love you Chloe.

Busy week.

Last week was really hectic. Exams is around the corner and lots of studying. Going to the library everyday. Books everywhere. Can go crazy. But.. Obviously the entire week is not about studying lah. I think i went out more than i study. Not good. Stupid friends. Ha ha. Go out study konon-nya.

Lets see.. what did I do last week other than studying... Hmm, yes. First of all, movies.

This is a hilarious show. A MUST watch. Well, Tim said it was boring some parts of the show but it wasn't that boring. I bet you'll be laughing your asses off while watching this show. Go watch it.

Another movie I watched was Wanted. Featuring the gorgeous Angelina Jolie and James McAvoy.

What can I say about this film? Well, its very 'fake'. For example, you can curve a bullet when you shoot. Another one, a bullet can bend 360 degrees. But it's full of action. Full of 'fake'. Not a bad show. I think everyone just want to see Angelina Jolie.

Movies just makes my day. Watched Get Smart at Sunway Pyramid 2 and Wanted at Bukit Raja Jusco in Klang. Well, other movies its always food food food and food. Went lots of place to eat. I hate food prices in KL. Damn freaking expensive. Other than that.... Dont think I have to mention dota. Been going to FTZ Asia 7 days a week. I'm so screwed. No more dota this week.

Went clubbing on Thursday night. The seremban gang came up but didn't join them. Went The Loft with my sunway friends. Was kind of a last minute plan. Kelvin said he was stressed up and wanted to go club at... 10.30 pm ! Rang up 10 other guys and by 11.30 p.m... we're on our way down to KL. This people... Sigh.. When call them go college they'll take like 2 hours to go. Club? 30 minutes. Suckers. I'm officially broke. No more clubbing until I come back from vacations.

I miss going back to Seremban. Its been 2 weeks since I last went back. Miss my bed. My parents. My dear dog. Not to mention free food. Got people to pay for what I eat. No need pay myself. Shoot. Its 4.01 p.m already. Time to get back to studies. Will update if there is anything else to be updated about. Thats it for now.

Out.

The Happening

It was a Wednesday night. Everyone was free. Quan just finished her finals. Asked her out for dinner and movie. But later found out that the Seremban gang were coming up to watch The Happening so decided to join them instead. It was a last minute decision so we left for MidValley around 6 something. Got stucked in the jam on the way (took Federal Highway) and we were late for around 10 minutes. Anyway, the movie started at 7.15 and it ended around 9 something. Walked around with them for a while then they left. They came up by KTM so gotta catch the train before 10. After they went back, Timorthy asked me to fetch him back to bangsar but went yam cha instead. So.. We went to Murni at SS2 to yc. Sat down. Ate somethings. Chit chat. Almost 12. Decided to go back. Fetched Tim back to Bangsar then fetched Quan back to Lagoon Perdana. End of the day. Not a bad day. Learned 2 new roads today. 1 to MidValley (was never really sure how to go there from Sunway) and the other to Bangsar.

Okay. Now about the movie. Been anticipating this movie for quite sometime. Thought it'll be a good one as the storyline is kind off mysterious. This movie is about some kind of apocalyptic virus that cause people to suddenly committing suicide. Strange thing is that this only happens to states at the eastern part of the U.S and this virus only targets towns with smaller population. So the government starts guessing who is behind this so called "attack". Terrorist? That's what they all say. Another strange thing is that the deaths all starts from the park. Anyhow, Elliot Moore (our main character) and his wife Alma Moore together with their friend's daughter Jess started running away from this virus. While on the run, they met this 2 couple who gave them a ride after their train stopped running. The man was a weirdo because he keeps saying that the plants are the cause of this. He said that the plants feel threaten and communicate with other plants to get ride of humans who they feel are threatening them. So.. Virus. Death starts at park. Large population die first.
Hmm.. Go figure. Terrorist? Nah. They prefer to play with weapons.

Overall, this movie isn't really that bad. Though story is kind of weird but at least its something different. Plants - the provider of oxygen to the earth is now killing humans instead? Yeah. That is something different. If you are intending to buy this movie and watch at home, I advice you not to. Because I dont think you'll enjoy it. It's still better to watch it at the cinema although all my friends keep saying its waste of money. Not to me really. At least its not the same old terrorist or some bad scientist that experiment with viruses and unleash it on the planet. Thats all I guess. Think I've said enough. If you want to know more, watch the movie =)

Out.
